Mr R. O. Coker hails from Ogun State. He is a certified land surveyor by profession and currently the deputy director Cadastral & Legal Surveys Unit. He has the following qualifications Pgd, Mba, Bsc and is a menber of MNIS 

Positions Held:

(i) CRS – Chief Resident Surveyor, Oyo State (2007 – 2012)
(ii) Ag. D (Cadastral & Legal Surveys) 2022 – To Date

The functions and responsibilities of the Cadastral and Legal Surveys Unit amongst other are as follows:

• Responsible for Survey of Government properties including housing and landed properties nationwide.
• Preparation of Title Deed Plan (TDP) for issuance of certificate of Occupancy to allottees of all lease on Federal Government Landed properties nationwide.
• Controls extension for Cadastral Survey Projects
• Quality Assurances &Quality control of all Survey and Mapping activities carried out by Survey Consultants for the Federal Government.
• Issuance of Beacon, Item and Plan numbers to both the Government Surveyors and Survey Consultants, who are on Survey Project for Federal Government.
• Serve as repository of all Federal Government’s Plans and Maps.
• Maintenance of the Cadastral Geographic Information System (CADGIS) for the maintenance for the establishment of a Digital Cadastral Database.
• Representing the Office of the Surveyor-General of the Federation and the Federal Government in court as an expert witness on public and private properties litigations
• Field checks, compliances and, evaluation of Survey data submitted by design consultant and Contractor 
• Any other Survey/Administrative duties that may be assigned by the Permanent Secretary.
